September at REFASH HQ: Steals, Workshops & Community

September was one for the books at REFASH HQ. From racks of $5 steals to hands-on eco workshops, our home base turned into a buzzing hub of thrifting, creativity, and community — not once, but THREE times in a single month. Here’s everything that went down!

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙩 & 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚

We kicked off the month with our Thrift & Thrive experience — a weekday event where we opened our HQ doors to the community, welcoming the public and nearby working crowd to join in the fun. It was the perfect midweek escape where visitors could thrift, declutter, and immerse themselves in a world of sustainability and creativity.

Racks of preloved fashion lined the space, with steals starting from just $5. Shoppers browsed through womenswear, menswear, and even curated vintage pieces — and for the first time, got to explore our REFASH Bags Showroom, where they could touch, feel, and try on the very bags listed on our website. During the event, we also ran a special 30% off discount for all online bag purchases, making it the perfect time to cart out their favourites.

With our Instant Cash Out (ICO) service, visitors could easily declutter their wardrobes and give their clothes a second life. They simply dropped off their preloved fashion and received their payout in cash on the same day.

But beyond shopping, Thrift & Thrive was also about learning. We introduced a series of educational zones where visitors could explore the impact of fast fashion and discover how small lifestyle changes can make a big difference. Our thrifters were encouraged to pledge toward a more sustainable future and express their thoughts on our colourful doodle wall — a creative space that captured everyone’s hopes and ideas for a greener tomorrow.

And of course, our free eco workshops remained a crowd favourite. Participants got hands-on with upcycling – from trinket trays to coasters and tote bags. Each creation is a reminder that sustainability can be creative, practical, and fun!

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙯𝙚

If weekdays were for unwinding, the weekends were for going ALL OUT. Our two Warehouse Sales turned REFASH HQ into a thrifter’s paradise — where everything was marked down to $5.

We also introduced the DIG ZONE — a thrifter’s paradise where shoppers could fill a bag with as many preloved gems as they could for just $12 (or preorder for only $6!). It quickly became a crowd favourite, and the response was so overwhelming that by the second Warehouse Sale, we expanded the Dig Zone threefold to make room for even more treasures.

On top of that, our Instant Cash Out station was back in action, giving visitors a chance to declutter their wardrobes and earn cash instantly. It was a hit among shoppers eager to both give and get — proving that sustainable fashion can be rewarding in more ways than one.

We brought in more vendors to run free eco workshops for our consumers, featuring creative sessions like denim pouch-making, terrariums, flower lanterns, fabric coasters, and soy candles. These sessions offered thrifters a mindful moment to create, connect, and take home something meaningful – beyond just clothes.
