A Quick Look at REFASH @ Singapore Poly
Last week, REFASH had the exciting opportunity to pop by Singapore Polytechnic for a lively campus event, and we couldn't have been more thrilled to be part of it, together with the Carousell Group. The space was buzzing with energy and packed with students, live music, performances, and racks of thrifted fashion waiting to be discovered. Our booth featured a curated selection of vintage pieces, timeless denim staples, and student-friendly steals that wouldn't break the bank. The turnout? SP students came through.
𝘾𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨: 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘 𝙏𝙚𝙚𝙨 & 𝙑𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙢 👕👖
Our graphic tees turned out to be the day's bestseller. Priced at 1 for $18 or 2 for $30, they were one of the first few racks students browsed, and pieces sold steadily throughout the event. Our vintage denim table, priced between $5 and $20 also drew consistent attention. Students took their time sifting through different washes and cuts, many of which dated back to the 1980s. Even with baggy jeans dominating current trends, it was refreshing to see students still appreciating classic silhouettes.
What really made our day was hearing that some weren't just buying denim to wear — they were repurposing it for their school projects. Watching preloved fashion take on a creative second life? That's the kind of moment we live for.

We also offered our classic Instant Cash Out – a simple, hassle-free way for anyone to sell their preloved clothes to us on the spot. Throughout the event, both students and staff stopped by to cash out pieces they no longer wore, turning their wardrobe clear-outs into instant earnings.
What made it even more interesting was seeing other thrift booths at the event come over to sell their leftover inventory to us as well. It created an organic flow of exchange, where nothing sat stagnant and everything had the potential to circulate again.
Moments like these are a testament to what circular fashion is really about. It's not just about buying preloved but about keeping garments moving, giving them multiple lives and preventing perfectly good clothing from ending up in the landfills ♻️

What really stood out to us during the event was this:
This generation genuinely values thrifting.
From vintage lovers hunting for finds to creative repurposers sifting through countless denim jeans – it was clear that sustainable and affordable fashion mattered to them. Seeing our pieces find new homes (and new creative purposes!) made the whole day incredibly rewarding for the REFASH team.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our booth, supported us, or stopped by just to chat. We loved meeting a variety of people and seeing how the thrift culture continues to thrive on campus.
